The Purrfection warehouse is filled with fantastic fabrics (including lining and interfacing), Purrfection patterns, Purrfectly Clear Art stamps, stencils, textile paints, tools, buttons, sewing notions, and more!

Registered students enjoy a 10% discount on all purchases!

We open at 9:00am so you’ll have time before class to do your shopping. You can also shop during lunch break or after class, but please do not disrupt the creative flow during instruction. You can also shop online and pick up your purchases when you arrive for class (just mention “Registered Student”) in Special Instructions and we’ll deduct the discount from your order.

Many items on your Supply List are available in our warehouse. Give us a call if there’s something you need but aren’t sure we carry. We’ll do our best to serve you!

CLASSES

All classes are held in our warehouse classroom in Arlington, Washington.

Classes in:
Beading • Fabric Manipulation • Fashion • Piecing • Texturing • And More!
Both technique and project oriented classes are offered.

Registering for Classes
All classes require full payment at time of registration. Register via phone, fax, mail or online. First come basis. All major credit cards accepted. Supply list sent upon payment of class. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class. A $5.00 fee applies to all cancellations. A credit will be issued or a transfer can be made, provided your cancellation does not reduce the class below minimum. If we must cancel a class you will receive a full refund or may apply the fee to another class. Please no children, pets or excessive perfume when attending a class. We are a nonsmoking facility, please respect others airspace.

Brown Bag It! We have a kitchen area with hot water for coffee or tea, refrigerator/freezer, microwaves, toaster, dishes, cutlery, and basic kitchen supplies. You are welcome to bring a meal and use the facilities.

Using the simple new pattern #1041 Easy Pieces, you’ll make your own wardrobe extenders. Choose from Tank Top, Pullover Top, Pull-on Pants or Skirt. Will also cover ways to embellish, and coordinate your ‘easy pieces’!

Take advantage of having the designer at your fingertips. Not only do you get expert advice and discover trade secrets, you will also have a wide selection of the Kimono Jacket to try on for easy “pre-fitting”. Experience first hand the time saving technique of “bagging”. A technique used by the garment industry to line garments completely by machine. We’ll also cover designer details, fitting issues and more! Basic garment construction skills required.

Make our most popular blouse pattern yet! During class we’ll construct the kimono band View B. You’ll receive instruction on fitting, adjusting for petite/tall bodies, seam finishing, embellishment ideas and speedy sewing techniques. Try on actual finished garments from our collection of samples. Basic garment construction skills required.

PINWOVEN CLUTCH

Revisiting an established technique we’ll weave yarn, fabric strips, trims, etc., to form an original fantastic clutch. Taking it a step further you’ll learn how to incorporate three-dimensional objects into your woven piece. Pattern included in class fee!

This simple to sew piecing technique combines traditional crazy patch with some modern updates. A great place to showcase photo printed fabric, embroidery or specialty fabrics.

TERRIFIC TROUSERS

Based on the Purrfection pattern of the same name, you’ll have a chance to make your own terrific trousers. In the first session you’ll ‘pre-fit’ using our collection of already constructed muslins based on your body type and size. From there you’ll adjust your own flat pattern and work up your first fitting sample. Continue on with fine tuning the fit and final construction. Added class instruction on “fast fly zippers” and “machine lined trousers”. Basic garment construction skills required.

Larkin's classes will stimulate the creativity of your students. Each brings different experiences to their work, and will finish the class with pieces that are uniquely their own. Larkin will share her own unique perspective and techniques, as well as encourage individual expression and exploration.
BEADWORK FOR FABRIC ARTISTS Part II

In this continuation of Beadwork for Fabric Artists you’ll be working on cabochons. Learning the stitches for stacked cage, lace cage, and more!

Skill Level: Confident beginner
Kit Fee: $15.00 (paid to instructor)

Beads! Beads! Beads! They are way too much fun to play with and highly addictive! They add
texture, dimension, and sparkle to embroidery, quilting, wearables, and jewelry. We'll explore a
variety of ways to attach beads to fabric and then the possibilities are limited only by your
imagination. If you've never tried working with beads, or you just want some new ideas to play with, please join us for an exciting introduction to the world of beading.
