Judy
started out by cutting out the "faces" of a piece of batik, changing
the shapes. She then fused them in place on her main fabric, a
black cotton with a random gold dot. Next she used metallic thread
(first gold then again with purple) to "free-motion" stitch an
outline around the edges. It makes the faces look like electricity
flowing through them. A stripe fabric was cut on the bias for
the binding and front band. Prairie points were used as accompanying
accents. The final "piece de resistance" was a beautiful antique
button found at a quilt show.
