For
this Safari outfit, I used
two packets of fat quarters (6 different fabrics in each) from
JJ Handworks. I cut
8 of the fat quarters first into strips (5½ " x
18"), sewed them together alternating prints. I then cut
the yellow striped fat quarter fabric into 1/2" wide strips
that I ran through my 1/4"
bias tape maker (making a 1/4" turned trim). This I
sewed down the center of the printed strips. Then I sewed alternating
rows of the printed fabrics. Press well, and cut out your pattern!
The collar and placket is made from the last 2 fat quarters,
with a "tip" of yellow stripe on collar points. The
perfect "Jelly Beans"
buttons are also from JJ Handworks.
