Satin Dragonflies |
|
For this #1033 Night & Day I used Satin Peau for the shirt, pants and robe. The trim was done in Clouds Blue/Purple Batik Cotton. The shirt and pants detailed with stamped Dragonfly Block for the collar, pocket and sleeve bands. The robe, was painted, stamped, stenciled and embroidered with dragonflies. |

Detail of shirt pocket. Dewdrops make the perfect buttons. The dragonflies (downloaded from the Threads website) were embroidered with Sulky varigated rayon on the bodies and coordinating solid rayon for the wings. |

Dragonfly
Block was
used to stamp the fabric for the collar and bands.

| Stamped and Stenciled Dragonflies are teamed up with handpainted "grasses". The stems of the grasses were made with the edge of a piece of cardboard so they resemble bamboo! |
 |
| After cutting out the pieces I maked where the embroidered dragonflies should go. |
