"Batik Patchwork" |
| For this View A of the QE2 Jacket I used Batik Patchwork fabric for the main jacket. I coordinated Mountains-Purple for the collar, undercollar, cuffs and details. I quilted the jacket over a layer of batiste and Berry colored Kona cotton just by following the lines in the already pieced batik fabric, then constructed the jacket as if it were an unlined garment. Easy! |

The undercollar and cuffs were machine quilted over a layer of unwashed flannel. Then laundered to shrink the flannel causing a 'quilted' effect to the plain cotton print. |
