"Embroidered Tapestry " |
| For this View A of the QE2 Jacket I used Tapestry fabrics for the pieced bodice section. More tapestry fabric was covered with an overlay of sheer Blue Iridescent Organza and used for the undercollar, cuffs and details. For added interest, the sewn strips were embellished with machine embroidered stitches. Since the jacket body was quite heavy and busy, I opted to make the sleeves from just the unaltered tapestry fabric. I think the embellishment stands out more this way. |

No jacket is complete without it's matching stamped lining! I used Lois Ericson's "Dance" and Textile Colors to match the stitching, then stamped over "Snowdrop" Hang Loose lining.
