Batik Rayon Tunic

For this #1101 Tunic a tempo I used "Fleur" Batik Rayon and Red Cotton for the facings and trim on the band. The red cotton was stamped with Sm. Celtic Knots in black. This tunic is an unlined single layer of rayon, so the drape is more dramatic that with a heavier or stiffer fabric. The facings were sewn to the "outside".

The front bands were edged with the red cotton (which was stamped). The small horizontal bit going through the band is my way of camouflaging the piecing I did to lengthen the band so I could cut it on the crosswise to save yardage and not have to match the pattern.

Turns out it made a nice design detail!
