Sheer Pleats |

I created this #1103 Hapi Harmony Jacket using my sheer pleat technique as featured in the book Fantastic Fabric Textures. |

Copper Sheer fabric makes a dramatic change to a Mustard Yellow cotton and a Lime Green Batik. Dimensional Resin Buttons were the inspiration for color choices! |

To create the front band I first appliquéd squares set on point down the center of the band. Then I added a 1" wide double folded layer of bronze sheer right down dead center. |
 |
| A single layer of the sheer is applied over the whole band and stitched on the center foldline. |  |
| When folded to form the front band the squares become triangles with what looks to be a bound edge (which is really just that flat 1" piece folded in half). |  |
