Fabrics Used: Vest - Various Cotton Prints Trousers - Indigo Stretch Denim

What was done: Vest was pieced and machine couched with pearl rayon thread. Large sun appliqué is an enlargement of one of the print fabric images.

Using the design from one of the fabrics, I enlarged it for the appliqué on the back.

Notice the detail of the couched treads. I used 4 strands of pearl cotton (2 blue and 2 green), machine couched with variegated metallic thread in a 3 step zigzag.

After the appliqué was sewn to the vest back, I added bugle and seed beads for detail.
